DAY 2, Sunday - Arrive in Amsterdam
Welcome to Amsterdam, Holland's modern capital. Transfer to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Most flights arrive in the early morning and your room may not be ready for you. In this case, leave your luggage with the concierge and your Tour Manager will provide suggestions for you to begin exploring the city on your own. Your tour begins with an orientation meeting with your Tour Manager at approximately 6 PM, followed by dinner. We recommend that you select flights which arrive no later than 4 PM

DAY 3, Monday - Amsterdam Canal Tour
This morning, board a glass-top boat for a cruise of the winding canals of historic Amsterdam for an up-close view of stately historic mansions, 16th century gabled merchant houses, and churches with bell towers. Spend the afternoon at leisure, or perhaps join the optional tour of traditional Holland that includes a visit to Volendam, a charming fishing village on the old Zuiderzee. Visit a cheese farm, watch clogmakers at work, and see a historic windmill

DAY 4, Tuesday - Lowlands of Holland, Bremen's Old Town
Today will be a long day of travel. Upon entering Germany, head to the colorful Hanseatic town of Bremen on the Weser River. Embark on an orientation tour of the Old Town, highlighted by the 600-year-old Town Hall with its splendid Weser Renaissance facade, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Tonight, dinner is at a local restaurant

DAY 5, Wednesday - Hamburg City Tour, Arrive in Berlin
Depart Bremen early this morning and continue to Hamburg, a port city on the Elbe River. During the tour, view Alster Lake in the heart of the city and the St. Pauli Piers near the Fischmarkt. On to St. Michael's Church and the impressive Town Hall, built in the early 1800s. Then depart Hamburg and drive east, crossing the former "Iron Curtain" into Berlin, Germany's capital city. Tonight, perhaps join the optional excursion to a Berlin style dinner party with traditional dishes and live music, followed by a scenic drive through the highlights of Berlin

DAY 6, Thursday - Berlin's Famous Landmarks
During your tour of Berlin today, viewing landmarks of the former East and West German sections including Brandenburg Gate, a symbol of the reunification, the glass-domed Reichstag Building, and Checkpoint Charlie, a symbol of the formerly divided city. Drive along lively Unter den Linden Boulevard, past the grand State Opera House and the imposing Cathedral. See a remaining section of the wall and the Holocaust Memorial. Spend the afternoon at leisure, or you may wish to participate in an optional Berlin's Hidden Past tour, where you will delve beneath the surface to learn more about the defeat of the Nazis, the liberation, and the destruction and division of Germany's capital city

DAY 7, Friday - Drive to Rhineland
This morning, depart Berlin and travel the former East Germany, passing Leipzig, and continue through the rolling hills of the Rhineland, heading to the elegant spa town of Wiesbaden. Situated on the Rhine River, the city is renowned for its therapeutic thermal springs that date back to Roman times. This evening, dinner is at your hotel

DAY 8, Saturday - Rhine River Cruise, Village of Bacharach, Ehrenbreitstein Fortress and Cable Car Ride
Begin the day with a drive into the Rhine Valley, where you will embark on a river cruise through the Rhine Gorge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The cruise offers spectacular vistas of hilltop castles, terraced vineyards, and villages of timber-framed houses. Soak in the beauty of one of Germany's most iconic waterways. Following the cruise, head to the village of Bacharach. There will be free time to explore, shop, and have lunch on your own. Afterward, enjoy a wine tasting. Later, drive to Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, perched on a rocky outcrop above the town of Koblenz. Take in the panoramic views over the Rhine and Moselle Rivers before descending by cable car to Deutsches Eck to see the monument to Kaiser Wilhelm. Later, drive back to Wiesbaden

DAY 9, Sunday - Moselle Valley & Grand Duchy of Luxembourg
Travel to the town of Cochem, in the Moselle valley, dramatically dominated by the medieval Reichsburg Castle. The town's narrow streets and restored half-timbered houses are a step back in time. This afternoon, cross into the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. At the entrance to the city, stop for a guided visit to the U.S. Military Cemetery from World War II, where over 5,000 American soldiers, including General Patton, are laid to rest. Then, take a short orientation tour of Luxembourg City before arriving at the hotel

DAY 10, Monday - Bastogne War Museum, Tour Brussels
Cross into Belgium and stop at Bastogne, the site of the infamous Battle of the Bulge, fought by U.S. forces against retreating Germans. Visit the Bastogne War Museum, which covers the origins of World War II to the Battle of the Bulge. Depart for Brussels, where you will enjoy a tour with views of the Atomium, the Royal Palace, the Museum district, and the Palace of Justice. Visit the 17th-century Grand Place, and stroll through the city center to view the famous Manneken Pis fountain. The evening is free

DAY 11, Tuesday - Full Day in Brussels
Spend the day exploring Brussels at your own pace. Or you may wish to participate in the full day optional tour to medieval Bruges. The tour first takes you to view the Lake of Love (Minnewater) and the Beguinage convent. Continue with a walking tour of the city's medieval district, where you will visit Our Lady's Church, home of the famous Madonna statue by Michelangelo. See the Market Square and Belfry along with the Town Hall Square and its Chapel of the Holy Blood. Free time to explore before returning to Brussels. Tonight, dinner is at the hotel

DAY 12, Wednesday - Discover Paris
Travel south over the French border to Paris, the "City of Light," arriving at lunchtime for a guided tour. Drive along the impressive Champs-Elysées to the Arc de Triomphe, Concorde Square, and the iconic Eiffel Tower, symbol of Paris. On to the vivacious Left Bank, where artists, philosophers, and writers once flourished in the artistic community at Montparnasse. View the Latin Quarter, home to many of France's higher education establishments. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure to enjoy the endless delights of this romantic city. Tonight, don't miss the optional tour for a delightful evening that includes a delicious dinner in a French restaurant, followed by a sightseeing drive of through illuminated Paris

DAY 13, Thursday - Full Day in Paris
A free day in Paris to explore independently. Visit the Musée d'Orsay, relax in the Luxembourg Gardens, linger at an outdoor café, or shop for treasures in this capital of fashion. Perhaps, join the optional tour to the magnificent Palace of Versailles* to see the grandeur of French classical architecture. Visit the extravagant State Apartments, Reception Halls, the Queen's Bedroom, the Hall of Mirrors, and the spectacular gardens. Tonight during dinner, bid farewell to your Tour Manager
